Anasthetics

Esketamine belongs to a group of medications called anesthetics. These medications are used to put you to sleep during surgery.
It can be given alone or together with other narcotics (anesthetics).
This medication can be used in emergencies as a painkiller or to completely sedate someone (anaesthesia).
This medication can also be used as an additional anesthetic along with another medication to numb a part of the body before surgery (regional or local anesthesia).
