Before assuming the position of Manager of Quality Assurance & Regulatory Affairs, my role at Eureco-Pharma was that of Business Process Manager. In this capacity, I focused on the technical and organizational aspects of the company’s operations. Acting as a liaison between various departments, I worked to streamline and effectively monitor our processes. Naturally, this role transitioned into my current position as Manager of Quality Assurance & Regulatory Affairs, as ensuring quality and compliance with rules and guidelines is closely intertwined with overseeing our business processes.

By initiating and overseeing improvement projects across multiple departments, I actively contribute to the ongoing optimization of our processes, enabling us to swiftly deliver cost-effective medicines to the market. We highly value automation and remain committed to staying abreast of the latest trends and advancements. A notable example of this is the implementation of the European FMD regulation, where we have integrated the latest guidelines into our business processes and implemented automated label production to ensure that each label is equipped with a unique serial number.

The implemented enhancements, which include heightened transparency in our operations, play a pivotal role in attaining our organisational objectives. I take immense pride in this achievement!

As the Procurement Manager at Eurospecialité, my primary responsibility is to act as the intermediary between our account managers and the procurement team. The task at hand is to efficiently acquire all the required medications in a timely manner, aligning with customer demand. I derive immense satisfaction from carrying out this role.

For numerous years, we have cultivated strong partnerships with a dedicated group of reputable suppliers across the European Union. These suppliers are well acquainted with the stringent standards we uphold for our procurement processes. This collaboration contributes to cost reduction in hospitals, allowing funds to be allocated towards other vital healthcare needs.

Through our unwavering commitment and expertise, we play a significant role in addressing market shortages. I take great pride in this achievement, knowing that we are ensuring patients receive the necessary medications on time. It is truly rewarding to make a difference in this regard.

I am accountable for overseeing the relationship with a significant portion of our clients. Our team is driven by passion, equipped with efficient communication channels, and boasts years of experience. Our objective is to enhance the synchronization of supply and demand, forging strong partnerships with our clients. Partnership is the cornerstone of our approach, emphasizing mutual commitment, reliability, transparency, and direct communication. The initial customer contact falls within our realm of responsibility. We promptly and accurately assist customers, recognizing that the medical landscape is ever-changing and evolving. As Quality Control Coordinator, I have to ensure my team carries out the department’s work as agreed and on time. This includes taking responsibility, identifying bottlenecks, offering solutions, communicating clearly and realizing teamwork between different departments in the company. This way, the products that are repackaged at Eureco-Pharma can be released in accordance with the applicable GMP regulations. As a result, our customers receive the ordered products with the highest quality. When this process runs smoothly, we can release these products faster than normal, and that gives me energy. Especially since there are already enough medicine shortages in the Netherlands. In my position I often work together with the QA (Quality Assurance) department. This can be about Deviations, Changes, CAPAs, and other things that have the purpose to increase quality.
I am also a Responsible Person (RP). In that role I am a kind of supervisor for compliance with legal obligations in the quality chain and a source of information for all employees regarding quality aspects.
It should be clear by now that I want to see quality in every aspect of the job. But despite my high quality requirements, humor is very important to me as well, and most colleagues will therefore probably describe me as a cheerful person who considers fun in his work to be of high importance.
